Visto.Cero copias.
Seen. Zero copies.
You show your ID at the counter. They look at it, check your details with your mobile carrier, and hand it back. Nobody scans it, nobody photographs it, nobody keeps a copy.
Which side of the counter are you on?
How it works at the counter
You show your ID.
Same as always. Nobody runs it through a scanner or takes a photo.
They check your details with your mobile carrier.
The counter confirms your name matches the subscriber on your line. It gets match, no match, or unavailable, and nothing else.
They hand it back.
There's a record that the check happened. There's no copy of your document.
If you want the detail
What exactly does it check?
It compares the details you give with your mobile carrier's subscriber record and looks at whether your SIM changed recently. It confirms who the line belongs to, not who is holding the phone, so staff still look at your ID.
What if the law requires guest registration?
In some countries a hotel must send your details to the authorities, and that still happens. What goes away is the extra copy the counter kept for itself.
Is it available yet?
The first pilot licenses are open. Carrier checks switch on as production access is approved.
Ask for it at your next check-in
Send this to your hotel or rental agency. One question from a guest is often enough to get it on their list.

Work behind a counter?
Put the Visto Cero mark on your counter. You check the guest, hand the ID back, and keep nothing worth stealing.
